ABOUT Takshashila House
Takshashila House draws inspiration from Takshashila — the world’s oldest known university, established over 2,800 years ago (circa 800 BCE). Situated in the north-western region of ancient India (present-day Pakistan), Takshashila stood as a global beacon of wisdom and intellectual pursuit.
Founded by King Bharata in honour of his son Taksha, Takshashila evolved from a simple gathering of scholars into a thriving seat of learning that attracted minds from across Babylonia, Greece, Syria, Arabia, Phoenicia and China. It offered an astonishing 68 disciplines of study — from the Vedas, philosophy and grammar to astronomy, medicine, politics and the arts — fostering a culture of inquiry, excellence and holistic development.
Home to over 10,000 students and 2,000 teachers, Takshashila nurtured some of the greatest thinkers in history — Panini (the father of linguistics), Kautilya or Chanakya (author of the Arthashastra), Charaka (pioneer of Ayurveda), and Vishnu Sharma (author of the Panchatantra).
At Endeavour Global School, Takshashila House embodies this spirit of boundless curiosity and pursuit of truth. It stands as a tribute to India’s scholarly heritage — reminding students to explore deeply, think independently, and carry forward the timeless legacy of learning beyond horizons.

ABOUT Mouseion House
Mouseion House at Endeavour Global School is named after the legendary Mouseion of Alexandria — the world’s first great university and research centre, founded around 300 BCE in Egypt under Ptolemy I Soter and Ptolemy II Philadelphus. The Mouseion, meaning “Shrine of the Muses” — the Greek goddesses of art, science and inspiration — stood as a sacred place where knowledge, creativity and inquiry flourished together.
More than a place of study, the Mouseion was a living community of scholars, philosophers, and scientists who sought to understand the mysteries of the world. It was here that the foundations of modern science were laid — in physics, medicine, astronomy, mathematics, linguistics, biology, geography and philosophy. Laboratories, botanical gardens, theatres, and observatories surrounded its grand halls, creating an environment where thought could truly take flight.
Attached to it was the Great Library of Alexandria, housing between 600,000 and 700,000 scrolls — a monumental treasury of human knowledge and imagination. Scholars from across civilizations gathered there, including the great Archimedes, whose groundbreaking work reshaped mathematics and physics.
At Endeavour, Mouseion House represents the pursuit of wisdom through curiosity, exploration and creative thought. It stands for the courage to question, the discipline to discover and the inspiration to innovate. Just as the ancient Mouseion united the arts and sciences under one vision, this House reminds students that true learning lies in the harmony of knowledge, imagination, and wonder — a spirit that forever seeks to go Beyond Horizons.

ABOUT Platonic House
Platonic House at Endeavour Global School is named after Plato’s Academy — the legendary institution founded in 387 BCE in Athens, often regarded as the birthplace of Western philosophy and higher learning. Established by the great philosopher Plato, the Academy was more than just a school — it was a living community of thinkers, visionaries, and seekers of truth who explored the deepest questions of existence, ethics and knowledge.
Located in a serene grove dedicated to Athena, the goddess of wisdom, Plato’s Academy embodied the harmony of intellect, nature, and the arts. It served as a meeting ground for brilliant minds such as Socrates, Aristotle, Xenocrates, and Speusippus, who discussed philosophy, mathematics, astronomy and politics in a spirit of open dialogue and mutual inquiry.
Plato’s guiding belief — that knowledge arises not only from inner reflection but also from observation, dialogue, and shared learning — formed the foundation of the Academy’s teaching philosophy. The idea that education could awaken truth within every individual transformed the Academy into an enduring symbol of enlightenment. Remarkably, it continued to inspire scholars for nearly 900 years after Plato’s death.
At Endeavour, Platonic House reflects this timeless devotion to wisdom, questioning, and higher ideals. It stands for the courage to think deeply, reason clearly and act justly — nurturing minds that seek understanding beyond horizons. Just as Plato’s Academy shaped the thought leaders of its time, Platonic House inspires students to pursue truth, virtue and vision that can shape a brighter world.
