OUR SCHOOL
Curriculum — Endeavour Global School (EGS), Siliguri
At Endeavour Global School, the curriculum is not just a syllabus — it’s a living ecosystem that nurtures the potential of every child. While the ICSE framework forms our academic backbone, we evolve it into something distinctly our own: holistic, exploratory, and rooted in both local identity and global understanding.
1. Philosophy & Approach
We believe in the oneness of spirit — nurturing a worldview where students remain rooted in their traditions while embracing global perspectives. Guided by the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam (“The world is one family”), our classrooms integrate human values with everyday learning.
Each morning, students greet one another using greetings from across India to celebrate cultural unity:
- Monday greeting is Namaste
- Tuesday greeting is Tashi Delek
- Wednesday greeting is Aadab
- Thursday greeting is Sat Sri Akal
- Friday greeting is Vanakkam
- Saturday greeting is Khamma Ghani
Every child learns at their own pace, and our curriculum is adaptive and personalized, offering scaffolded support and enrichment opportunities. Our teachers are trained to nurture this diversity — ensuring that every learner feels seen, supported and challenged.
Pastoral care and emotional well-being are integral to our philosophy. We cherish a happiness quotient that values emotional intelligence as much as intellect. Our staff undergo workshops to sensitively engage with the evolving minds and hearts of adolescents
2. Academic Structure & Integration
We follow the ICSE curriculum as the structural backbone, maintaining its rigour and depth. Beyond that, learning at EGS extends into project-based, inquiry-driven, and interdisciplinary experiences — helping students connect ideas across subjects.
Technology and innovation are seamlessly woven in. Our Wi-Fi-enabled smart classrooms, interactive multimedia tools and dedicated Robotics & AI programmes make learning immersive and future-ready.
Our infrastructure supports this vision — with spacious labs, a well-stocked library, sports complex, auditorium and activity spaces that inspire both curricular and co-curricular performance.
3. Levels of Learning
| Stage | Focus & Methods | Outcomes |
| Early / Primary Years (Playgroup – Class IV) | Foundational literacy, numeracy, expressive arts, local culture, play-based and experiential learning | Confident communicators, curious explorers, empathetic citizens |
| Middle Years (Classes V – VIII) | Inquiry-based learning, experimentation, interdisciplinary projects and outdoor learning | Critical thinkers, collaborative problem-solvers, independent learners |
| Senior Years (Classes IX – X) | Academic depth, research projects, exam readiness and mentor guidance | Strong academic performers, self-directed learners, prepared for higher studies |
4. Values, Identity & Culture in Curriculum
Our curriculum weaves together value education, cultural literacy, and ethical reflection. Students explore themes of civic responsibility, social justice, environmental stewardship and global equity.
Festivals, heritage days and special assemblies celebrate India’s diversity — transforming lessons into lived experiences. Language is a vital part of this identity; emphasis on English and vernacular fluency empowers students to communicate confidently in both local and global contexts.
5. Faculty, Continuous Growth & Quality Assurance
Our faculty go beyond subject expertise — many are trained in TESOL, Montessori, and other progressive pedagogies. They regularly engage in peer observation, collaborative lesson design and reflective practices to ensure teaching remains dynamic.
Continuous assessment and skill mapping inform our academic decisions. This ensures that both students and teachers remain on a journey of growth, reflection, and renewal.
6. Beyond the Classroom
Learning extends into the world outside — through field visits, community service and student-led initiatives.
Sports, fine arts, and performing arts are core pillars, not extras. Our campus design reflects this balance — encouraging physical vitality and creative expression.
We also encourage student voice and agency — students help co-create mini-units, lead special interest clubs or design exhibition displays.
