Inter House Quiz Competition
Nutshell organized an inter-house quiz competition at Endeavour Global School on August 7th. The quiz’s theme revolved around Indian history and it’s freedom fighters. The program commenced with a
welcoming address from the Headmistress to the quiz master, Mr. Shubham, followed by her best wishes to the participants. The participants were divided into three groups based on their classes:
Group 1 comprised students from classes 1 to 3, Group 2 included those from classes 5 to 6, and Group 3 consisted of students from classes 7 to 9.
The winner of the competition was Takshashila house with Platonic house securing the second position and Nalanda house the third.
The day was filled with excitement and enjoyment, as participants engaged in the quiz and absorbed a wealth of knowledge. The event concluded with a note of gratitude from the Director, Mrs. Nandita, who thanked the quiz master for successfully conducting the event and to the students for their enthusiastic participation.
Workshop on POCSO
An excellent and informative session was conducted by Mr. Nirnay John Chhetri of MARG (Mankind in Action for Rural Growth) on 12th August at Endeavour Global School. It was an initiative taken by the organisation and the school to spread awareness among the students and staff on human trafficking which has now become the 2nd largest criminal industry in the world. Various ways and reasons behind human trafficking were put up with real-life incidents. The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act 2012 and 2019 for children below 18 years was also one of the major topics of this awareness session. This act provides robust legal framework for the protection of children from offences of sexual assault and harassment.
Inter-House Futsal Tournament
Endeavour Global School organized an Inter-House Futsal Tournament on the 28th of August, featuring two sections: Junior and Senior. The event commenced with the Junior School matches. In the first semifinal match, the Takshashila House faced off against Nalanda House, with Nalanda emerging victorious with a score of 4-1. Following that, the second semifinal featured Platonic and Takshashila, where Platonic dominated with an impressive 6-0 lead.
In the final match Nalanda faced off against Platonic where the Platonic house emerged as the champions with a final score of 3-1. Consequently, Platonic House clinched the Junior Inter-House Futsal Tournament title, amassing 7 points, while Nalanda House secured 2 points.
Next up were the senior house matches. The initial semifinal pitted Nalanda House against Platonic House, resulting in a 6-3 victory for Nalanda. In the second semifinal, Platonic took on Takshashila, with Takshashila securing a 2-0 win.
The highly anticipated final match between Nalanda House and Takshashila House proved to be an intense battle that kept the audience on the edge of their seats. Ultimately, Nalanda House emerged victorious with a 4-3 triumph, earning them 7 points, while Takshashila House finished with 2 points.
When combining the points from both the Junior and Senior divisions, Nalanda House claimed the overall victory with a total of 9 points, followed by Platonic House with 7 points in second place, and Takshashila House with 2 points in third.
The day came to an end with our HM Mrs N Yonzone and Director Mrs N Gurung extending their congratulations to the victorious house and expressing their appreciation to all the participants. The day was marked by a mix of excitement and disappointment for those who gave their all, yet the students upheld exemplary sportsmanship throughout the event.
